I am english, so please be patient with me. my son and I enjoy every game at the SAS arena, but had our day ruined before the game with OB. This was because we had our soft drinks-which were in plastic bottles-confiscated by security as we were body searched before we came into the Arena. Whilst I enjoy the fact that the security are doing theyre job well, I think it is a scandel that our drinks were confiscated (we were told we could not drink them befoer we came in or have them returned after the game!!) and ODENSE supporters could come into the ARENA with dangerous ROMAR LYS.
We all saw how many ROMAR LYS were on display at the ODENSE end of the Arena , so it was not just one but a number that had found theyre way into the ground.
I am not complaining about the fact that I had 2 bottles of soda vand confiscated-I am complaining about the security inconsistancy`s with regards to body searching.
HOW DID ODENSE MANAGE TO HAVE SO MANY DANGEROUS ROMAR LIGHTS AND I HAD 2 BOTTLES OF SODA VAND CONFISCATED???
I have written to the stadium directer and ahve been promised a explanation and i am writing this to this FORUM as a protest at the differances in security methods at the ground.
As an englishman who enjoys watching FCM play football and being with so many like wise supporters, i think these questions are relivent to the future Stadium security.
COME ON BLACK WOLVES!!!!

You're right - I don't understand either, how they can get so many illegal lights into the stadion, but it seems that the control in the area is too low.
I don't know what happened where you went into the stadion, but normally they allow you to take your beer or soda with you.
They didn't take my beer

ps-i come from Manchester, am a MAN. UTD. fan and we never have this trouble with lights at OLD TRAFFORD.

Hi there!
SAS Arena have some rules, whits is importent to follow, one of the rules says that you can´t take you drinks and something whit you into the stadium.. And that´s the way it is..
Another of the rules are that you can´t take Romerlights with you into the stadium, because they are illegal,
But there are allways some kinds of ways to get it into the stadium.
The fans can give the lights to the children, or they can use to take the light into the pants, so the stewards can´t find it at that way..
There are allways way to get it into the stadium if you want to..
I´m writing this to tell you that it can happend and I think Romerlights are beautiful to wats, but it´s illegal and because of that, you will never see mee try to take some of this with me in.
I understand you harm over it - But That´s the way it is!

I can understand why you feel perplexed.
I was also shocked by the lax security in the stands, where Odense supporters where standing.
But this was not the first time that our security failed. Something must be done to improve this.
I am always body searched by the security people. How the manage not to find romer lys amongst Odense supporters is very odd.
It is almost as if their policy is that FCM supporters are their responsibility, but Odense supporters can do as they like.

tak for fornuftig svar GOODMAN.

Hi Corny
The security in, and about most danish footbaal grounds are taken care of by amateurs. These people are volunteers, who are not paid to handle the security, hence the standard you see today.
That your plastic bottles were confiscated is due to standard regulations and I guess the reason the flares (romerlys) wasnt is because they were hidden in places where the stewards are not allowed to touch on a human body. That ore they are smuggled through the fence when stewards are not looking, which is fairly easy if you take a look around fx. SAS Arena.
Finally I would like to point out that Black Wolves, being the fofficial fanclub are not in any way connected to the security work carried out on SAS Arena (However we do our best to work with FC Midtjylland to make things better). The stewards are referring directly to the man responsible for the security at FC Midtjylland, Jimmy Laursen.
I would also like to point out that the secutiry issues is something that is given special attention in the future. The Danish Football Association DBU has not done its work properly, regarding this issue and the fanclubs are now uniting in DFF - Danske Fodbold Fanklubber to put pressure on DBU. This is an ongoing process and will take more than a couple of months to carry out.

Thank you for your reply. We have met before in the fan club and have also talked over other things together. I know as well as you do that security is very slack at the moment. My critisism of the stewards doing their jobs was a constructive critisism and nothing else. I, as a father who`s søn plays for FCM lilluput and and Herning Fremad, am just concerned about the safety aspect at the stadium-something I have written to the management about and I am promised a reply after the holiday.
I am also being critised by a couple of people who question my nationality and my literate skills. They do not reply to the question I have raised here in this forum but are being ,at the worst, racial at the best silly. This is a site i believe, that all people, regardless of their nationality or literate skills, can post and get serious response to the issue´s raised.
Hope that I can buy you a drink in the club next time.

I understand why you believe your security wasn't doing their jobs. That's not true - the body search they did, was maybe the must thorough we have experienced in Denmark. But there are rules about where the security can touch and not touch - when they are doing the body search.
In addition I believe your security handled the situations about the use of roman candle good. Must of the time, they waited for the roman candle to burn down, and then they picked the correct persons and followed them out of SAS Arena.
Best regards

my question about security never was about if the security were doing their jobs, but about the differances between a soda vand and flares being brought into the stadion.

"The fans can give the lights to the children, or they can use to take the light into the pants, so the stewards can´t find it at that way.. "
